Tay Conti Changes Her Name In AEW

Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti went public with their relationship several months after The Spanish God proposed to Pamella Nizio inside the ring. Just about one year after Sammy proposed in the ring, Guevara and Conti tied the knot.

AEW announced that Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti will put their AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship on the line against Dante Martin and Skye Blue this week on Rampage. That being said, Tay has a different last name now.

The graphics for the match show that Tay Conti will be wrestling under a different name on Rampage this week. It appears that Tay Conti will now be going by the name of Tay Melo in AEW. Tay is now “Tay Melo,” her real name.

Guevara and Conti won the AAA Worlds Mixed Tag Team Championship at TripleMania XXX: Monterrey. Sammy and Tay bested three other tag teams at the Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide-hosted event. We’ll have to see if they’re able to keep those titles.
