Tommaso Ciampa Is Very Confident After Becoming #1 Contender For WWE United States Title

Tommaso Ciampa was certainly one of the best things about NXT throughout his run in the developmental brand. He was part of solid feuds, especially with his eternal friend/rival Johnny Gargano. Ciampa also reacted to his most recent success.

As seen on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Tommaso Ciampa had pinned both Chad Gable and AJ Styles to become the #1 contender to Bobby Lashley’s United States Championship.

While speaking during RAW Talk, Ciampa stated that he more than earned his opportunity at Bobby Lashley’s title, noting the opponents he had to beat.

”Earned. Dolph Ziggler, Chad Gable and AJ Styles [I beat them all]. I win. I win. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – all I need is an opportunity. And my opportunity comes next week.

Anyone – that’s what Bobby said. I heard what Bobby said. The problem is, I’m not anyone. I’m the greatest sports entertainer of all time. I am the blackheart, and the fact of the matter is, nobody makes a title more prestigious than the man you’re looking at. Tommaso Ciampa is set to challenge The Almighty for his WWE United States Championship next week on Monday Night RAW. We’ll have to see whether he will be able to become the new champion or not.
