The Usos are certainly one of the best tag teams in the history of WWE. Their accolades speak for themselves as they have taken part in numerous historic matches over the years. They also achieved a huge milestone recently.
At the WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event, The Usos defended their Unified WWE Tag Team Championships against The Street Profits. After everything was said and done, The Usos came out on top and retained their titles.
The WWE Stats Twitter account noted Jimmy and Jey Uso made history at this event by becoming the first tag team to defend a tag team title at two consecutive SummerSlam events.
“Not counting kickoff matches, the @WWEUsos are the first duo in @WWE history to defend a tag team title at two consecutive #SummerSlam PPV events.”
It is likely The Usos and The Street Profits have finished their feud after SummerSlam. Then again, WWE is under a brand new creative direction and Triple H can do whatever he wants now. We’ll have to see what’s next in store for The Usos in the coming weeks, but both teams certainly brought it to SummerSlam.
