Johnny Gargano was one of the mainstays in Triple H’s version of NXT. The Rebel Heart had memorable feuds with the likes of Tommaso Ciampa, Adam Cole and Aleister Black to name a few.

Gargano bid adieu to the black and gold brand in December. He officially parted ways with the brand earlier this year to sit at home and look after his wife and baby boy Quill.

Fans have been anticipating Gargano’s return for quite some time. Many believe that the chances of Gargano returning to WWE are greater now that Triple H is the head booker.

Gargano’s former team mate Tommaso Ciampa recently sat down with WrestlingInc. for an interview. Ciampa believes the chances of his DIY mate making an in-ring return are greater now,

“The door was always open. Johnny left so he could go be a dad … For Johnny, it was like, ‘Oh, I have baby Quill, and I have to [wrestle] full-time or I take a break,’ and he just took a break.

“So I don’t know, I think the chances of him returning were always really good … Maybe they’re better now, but regardless, I think he’s definitely going to come back to wrestling. He’s in shape, he still loves it. I’m sure he’s still probably one of the best in the world right now. So for him, it’s just a matter of time.”

Gargano recently made an appearance during an episode of Impact Wrestling. He hyped up old friend Alex Shelley’s upcoming match against Impact World Champion Josh Alexander at Emergence.
