CM Punk Hints That Jade Cargill Could Bring AJ Lee Out Of Retirement

AJ Lee’s influence in the pro wrestling world cannot be understated. After CM Punk made his debut in AEW last year, many fans wanted AJ Lee to follow suit and join her husband. CM Punk also hinted at how AJ Lee could come out of retirement.

AJ Lee’s success story in WWE is certainly a remarkable one, to say the least as she is given credit for helping to jumpstart the WWE’s Women’s Revolution. She left pro wrestling back in 2015 but finally made her return earlier last year.

While speaking with Skewed and Reviewed Gareth Von Kallenbach, CM Punk revealed that AJ Lee was a huge fan of TBS Champion Jade Cargill. He then stated that Cargill and Britt Baker could be the ones to bring Lee out of retirement.

“Sometimes she’ll be like, ‘Tell me when the girls are on.’ She’s a big fan of Jade [Cargill]. I think women like Jade and Britt [Baker] especially, if she’s ever going to want to wrestle, I think they’re the ones that can draw her in based on looks and ability and the work.”

AJ Lee is still unlikely to make an in-ring return despite CM Punk’s success in AEW. We’ll have to see how AJ Lee will perform in her role as an executive producer and commentator for Women of Wrestling, once it starts.
