Cody Rhodes parted ways with AEW earlier this year and then made his way back to WWE. Since then he was immediately booked as a huge deal, especially thanks to his presentation. He also dared WWE to fine him for a good reason.

Despite suffering from a legit torn pectoral muscle, Rhodes managed to compete against Seth Rollins in the main event of Hell In A Cell. Rhodes won the match and since then has been out of action.

During San Diego Comic Con, new figures and titles were revealed, with the speaker mentioning “new championships.” To this, Cody Rhodes said, “You can say belts.”

Sam Roberts remarked that Cody can say “belts,” but others won’t be let off so easily. Rhodes then dared WWE to fine him for saying ”belts.”

They can fine me $1,000 every time I say belts. I’m fine with that. If they give me a title belt, sure it’s a championship, but it also physically goes around your waist. Those are great belts.”

Rhodes is out of action after his surgery and he could be gone for 9 months. WWE even filmed Cody Rhodes’ entire surgery for later use. We’ll have to see when Rhodes will be back.
