Vince McMahon has stepped away from the WWE. McMahon had been the in-charge of the promotion’s creative department after handing the reigns of the company to his daughter, Stephanie McMahon. Now, only time will tell who takes the reins of WWE’s creative ship.

WWE called an “all hands on deck” meeting after Vince announced that he was retiring from the company he took to greater heights. The 77-year-old also sent out a message to the talent.

Bryan Alvarez reported that nothing of substance occurred at the meeting and employees were simply told to get back to work in the wake of Vince McMahon’s departure from the promotion.

So apparently nothing of note happened at the meeting. Just a note that he was gone and now back to work.

PW Insider provided additional details regarding the virtual meeting. The outlet said that Vince McMahon was called “irreplaceable” but the attendees were told that Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan would steer the company into a new direction.

The WWE All hands-on deck virtual meeting was described to PWInsider as a short “rah rah meeting” with Vince McMahon described as “irreplaceable” but that Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan would plot the course of the company going forward.

McMahon’s announcement caused a major shakeup within the promotion, and more internal changes are expected. Brock Lesnar was also furious and left the building hours before his scheduled appearance on SmackDown. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more!
