Roxanne Perez was jumped in the parking lot, but still competed for the NXT Women’s Championship match against Mandy Rose in the main event of NXT 2.0 this week. The breakout star, however, failed to capitalize on the opportunity as she was betrayed by her best friend and tag partner, Cora Jade. Then her heel turn was really capped off with a spot that didn’t go according to plan.

Jade entered the ring to confront Perez following Mandy Rose’s successful title defense. The 1/2 of the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions attempted to hit Perez with her signature skateboard, but it broke before she could land the attack.

WWE fans weren’t letting that botch get away that easily and took to Twitter to share their reactions. It appears that the board didn’t want Jade to betray her partner and tried its best to prevent her from hitting the young star.

Needless to say, wrestling Twitter was all over this one. You can check out a plethora of reactions below.

Jade and Perez are still the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions despite the foreseen heel turn. That being said, the future of the women’s tag division in NXT doesn’t look bright.
