Pat McAfee transitioned to WWE after he left his National Football League life behind. The former NFL star even started podcast to have greater outreach to fans, then he kicked off his career in commentary and occasional in-ring efforts in WWE. Now McAfee is sticking around WWE for a lot longer.

The former punter is apparently staying for a long time. Many figures from the pro-wrestling world are very happy about that too. Pat McAfee signed multi-year extension contract with WWE. Many stars took to Twitter in order to congratulate him and wish him a great future working with the company ahead.

Triple H appreciated how Pat McAfee is one of the few professional athletes who successfully transition to entertainment. He said that he “gets it” and also referred to the fact that McAfee is “jacked.

Very few can transition from professional athletics to entertainment the way @PatMcAfeeShow has. In short, he “gets it” & the authenticity he brings to his fans & the @WWE Universe is the same he brings to every facet of his life. A pleasure working with him. (Plus, he’s jacked!)
