Austin Theory is one of the young and rising stars of WWE and got his start thanks to Johnny Gargano’s stable, The Way. His first main roster run was not really memorable, but his current run is far better.
Theory’s had a tremendous 2022 so far, as he had a WrestleMania 38 moment with Steve Austin. The young WWE Superstar would then become the new United States Champion. His tutelage under Vince McMahon has further raised his stock.
While speaking on WWE’s The Bump, JBL talked about Austin Theory’s current run in WWE. JBL stated that he believes Austin Theory has unlimited potential.
“This kid is so talented… He reminds me of Dick Murdock. Dick Murdock was one of the most talented guys in the world and he would do crzy stuff just because he could, because he had that much talent. He’d dig himself into a hole and he’d figure out a way to get out of it. Theory is the same way. I mean this kid has unlimited potential.”
Austin Theory is set to defend his United States Championship against Bobby Lashley at WWE Money In The Bank this month. We’ll have to see who will come out on top in the match.
