Jon Moxley became the AEW Interim World Champion at Forbidden Door. Mox wrestled Hiroshi Tanahashi to determine the victor for the title that was created in the wake of CM Punk’s terrible foot injury. He already has his first challenger set.

The promotion held a Royal Rampage to determine the number one contender to the AEW Interim World Championship. Brody King won the modified version of the 20-Man Battle Royal.
