Jon Moxley debuted at AEW Double Or Nothing 2019 and became one of the mainstays of the company since then. He is a former AEW World Champion and continues to be an integral part of the company. Moxley also cut a passionate promo after AEW Forbidden Door went off the air.
The Purveyor Of Violence squared off against Hiroshi Tanahashi to determine the Interim AEW World Championship at the end of AEW Forbidden Door. After a bloody war, it was Moxley who won the title.
After the event went off the air, Jon Moxley addressed the fans and cut a passionate promo for fans. Moxley put over Cesaro and also said that professional wrestling is “the best sport, the best f*cking thing in the world.”
“The Jericho Appreciation Society represents filthy, scuzzy sports entertainment. Maybe there’s a time and a place for sports entertainment, but here in AEW, professional wrestling rules!”
We will have to wait and see how Jon Moxley will be booked as the Interim AEW World Champion. The inevitable match between Moxley and CM Punk is certainly something fans are very excited about as well.
