Vince McMahon made headlines when a $3 million hush money scandal caused him to step down from his seat as WWE CEO. He kicked off SmackDown this week and he was in full character.
Mr. McMahon made his way to the ring as his song sang out, “You’ve got no chance, no chance in Hell.” The crowd sang along as well. His entrance was especially interesting as he seemed to pop out like it was a surprise.
McMahon put over the fans before reminding them that “then, now, forever, and together” are WWE’s signature words. He made a point to say that “together” is the most important one of those words.
Then Mr. McMahon said, “welcome to SmackDown” and literally tossed the microphone down before leaving. The crowd ate it up, and Mr. McMahon left without acknowledging the scandal that put him in the ring that night in the first place. What a moment in WWE history.
