Matt Hardy Believes Jeff Hardy Would’ve Been Medically Cleared For AEW Dynamite Match Just Before DUI Arrest

Jeff Hardy remains one of the most beloved pro wrestlers in the world right now. Unfortunately, he could never quite control his personal demons. Matt Hardy also believed Jeff would be medically cleared for AEW Dynamite just before his DUI arrest.

Hardy recently made headlines after he was arrested for driving under the influence after leaving a local Dave & Busters. Naturally, this became a huge topic of discussion.

While speaking to Lucha Libre Online hours before Jeff Hardy’s DUI arrest, Matt Hardy stated that he believes Jeff would be cleared for this week’s triple threat ladder match.

“As long as Jeff clears [is medically cleared], which I think he’s going to clear OK, we really want to go out and tear the house down in this three-way ladder match and become the AEW World Tag Team Champions,” Matt said. “If we do that, we are going to be the first tag team in pro wrestling history to hold the major world tag team titles in four different decades”.

AEW is no longer promoting that match and Matt Hardy has also yet to comment on his brother’s arrest. Reby Hardy ended up mocking Jeff Hardy for his arrest instead.
