Paige had no choice but to retire after she was kicked from the back by Sasha Banks during 2017 WWE MSG Show. She suffered another career-ending injury and sat at home for far too long after that. Fans were simply devastated after this decision was made for her. Paige was also upset with WWE for good reason, but she understands why they let her go in spite of her efforts to make a return.
The first-ever NXT Women’s Champion shocked the wrestling world when she announced that she’ll be leaving WWE next month. It was then revealed that WWE didn’t want to re-sign Paige to new contract.
Speaking on her Twitch channel, Paige said that aired her grievances with WWE. Paige made it clear she was upset WWE released her despite breaking her neck twice for the company.
They weren’t using me to my full potential, that’s for sure. I broke my neck twice for this company, just to be let go. I still tried to fight to do something and then to not be told until the last minute left me disappointed. Again, I understand their reasoning why they didn’t want to re-new the contract.”
She also revealed what Vince McMahon told her after WWE didn’t re-sign her. Paige will be a free agent next month and we’ll have to see where she will end up next.
