WWE Dragged For Changing The Rock’s Daughter’s Name

WWE made headlines when they signed Simone Johnson back in 2020. The Rock’s daughter then began training at the Performance Center. WWE also got Criticized for changing Simone Johnson’s name.

Simone Johnson does not have the best of luck when it comes to her physical wellbeing. She had previously gone under the knife on her knee. Thankfully, she would recover soon enough.

It was then revealed that Johnson’s name was changed to Ava Raine. This was met with backlash as well. While speaking on Cornette’s Drive Thru podcast, Jim Cornette criticized WWE for changing Johnson’s name.

“Her name is not… if she’s not going to use Simone Johnson and they’re not going to use ‘Little Rock’ or ‘Little Pebble’ or ‘Female Pebble’ or whatever, what the f*ck is she even there for? She’s the daughter of the most famous wrestler in the goddamn history of the company, now, currently, since he’s the biggest movie star in the world and they’re going to change her name so that you don’t automatically know she’s The Rock’s daughter on the card, but she’s The Rock’s daughter,

We will have to wait and see when Ava Rain will debut in NXT and how she will fare. Fans are excited to see her debut. Only time will tell if she is able to match her famous family’s footsteps, but she will certainly get the opportunity.
