Cody Rhodes realized the amazing spot that he had at Hell in a Cell and he didn’t give that opportunity up, despite suffering from an injury. The American Nightmare was reported to be injured prior to the event, but nobody realized exactly what kind of pain Rhodes would wrestle through.

Cody Rhodes entered the Hell in a Cell match second and he was pumped. The crowd was fully behind him, and then he took off that entrance jacket to reveal just how his torn pectoral muscle is doing.

Rhodes was heavily bruised on his pec and that deep purple mark wrapped around his side. It was gruesome to see and the sold out Chicago crowd let out an audible gasp when Rhodes revealed the injury he brought to the ring.

That terrible injury didn’t stop Cody Rhodes from wrestling Seth Rollins. As previously reported, WWE had to change things about the HIAC match several times throughout the day. After seeing the extent of Cody Rhodes’ injury, it’s easy to see why.
