AEW Double or Nothing finally went down inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The company booked all but the FTW and the TNT title matches for the May 29th pay-per-view event. A major championship changed hands at the end of the night after an event full of successful defenses.

AEW World Champion Adam Page put his title on the line against CM Punk at DoN. The “Hangman” had promised to defend not the AEW World Championship but the company itself from the “Best in the World.”

Punk, on the other hand, claimed it was never personal but only business between him and Page. The “Second City Saint” had successfully managed to get in the champion’s head.

In the end, Punk countered a Buckshot Lariat into a GTS to win the title. This is Punk’s first singles title win in the promotion. This was also the only title change that took place at Double or Nothing 2022.

AEW World Tag Team Champions Jurassic Express, Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa, and TBS Champion Jade Cargill all had successful title defenses earlier during the night. The event concluded with CM Punk celebrating with his new title as the Las Vegas crowd cheered on.
