There has been plenty of speculation regarding the future of AEW’s relationship with the Turner Networks. After WarnerMedia and Discover merged, the newly formed Warner Bros. Discovery started cutting costs wherever they could. The lack of a major presence at the recent network upfronts had fans even more worried.

Tony Khan has indicated that things are going just fine with Warner Bros. Discovery. The AEW owner recently revealed that not only is the relationship good, but the company plans on having a big presence at an upcoming AEW event. Khan noted that there will be a lot of top executives from the company at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles to take in next week’s Dynamite.

Tony spoke to Richard Deitsch of the Sports Media Podcast. Khan said not only will the visitors be enjoying the show, but they also have something planned for afterward. Warner Bros. Discovery plans to throw a big party for AEW after the event.

“I’m very excited because we’re at [The Kia Forum arena in Inglewood, California] next week, and I’m really just honored, and it’s a great privilege for us because a lot of the top executives from Warner Bros. Discovery are going to be at The Forum.

They’re throwing a great event for us afterward in The Forum … with a lot of the people in AEW, and we’re going to hang out, and that means the world to us, getting to know each other better.”

AEW will have a huge crowd for its first show in California. There may not be a better place to show off the product to the visiting executives. Tony Khan is hoping to continue to build a strong relationship with the company as AEW approaches negotiations for their next TV rights deal.
