Cody Rhodes left AEW back in February along with his wife Brandi. After a brief hiatus, The American Nightmare shocked the world after returning to WWE back at WrestleMania 38. In fact, Cody Rhodes has even been called Vince McMahon’s dream of a talent.
Ever since Cody Rhodes came back to WWE, he has been presented as a top star. His over the top entrance with all the bells and whistles one can imagine, make it evident he is viewed as a dependable star.
While speaking on the Jim Cornette Experience, Jim Cornette stated that he believes Vince McMahon is Vince McMahon’s dream of a talent and explained why.
“This is the atmosphere for Cody Rhodes, he is a genuine sports entertainer and the entrance, the Cody countdown and the presentation for this audience, and he’s so well spoken. Right now, he is Vince McMahon’s dream of a talent. He looks good, he wears a suit, he dresses up, you can push him as a star, and he goes out and he delivers verbally, and he can work.”
WWE also introduced the Cody Countdown because they believe Cody Rhodes is a big ratings draw. In fact, the Cody Countdown has proven to be a major ratings success. We’ll have to see how he will fare against Seth Rollins at WWE Hell In A Cell next month.
