WWE is hoping to fill another stadium for SummerSlam this year and Nashville, Tennessee is in for quite a show. One of the bigger questions is how many tickets Vince McMahon’s company will be able to unload.

WrestleTix noted on Patreon that the show has sold 22,519 tickets so far. As of the time of that report, there were 11,915 tickets left. That number might seem like a big one, but they have likely sold enough to turn a profit for the event.

The trick to stadium shows is to sell as many tickets as possible, of course. The fact is that they will only make more profit after a certain threshold is broken. That makes it harder to turn a bigger profit on smaller shows, because you can only sell so many tickets. Stadium shows allows the company to sell far more, even if they can’t sell them all.

We still have a bit of time before the July 30th event rolls around. Odds are WWE will give fans many reasons to cop tickets for the biggest part of the summer.

Ticket sales could very well see another boost as soon as the company gets around to announcing matches. Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns will likely wrestle at the event, but their opponents have not been revealed yet.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
