AEW promised two debuts for Wildcard Wednesday. AEW Dynamite kicked off with a big surprise as Johnny Elite made his debut with AEW.

Johnny Elite made his AEW debut this week in a match against Samoa Joe. The two battled in the opening contest as part of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

Of course, Johnny Elite is John Morrison, but changing his last name for every promotion he works for is kind of his thing. He did the same poses that he’s always done, complete with a slow-motion camera effect.

This is the first of two scheduled debuts. We will have to see how often Johnny Elite appears for AEW, but his debut for the company brought a huge pop in Houston. You can check out the video below.
