Cody Rhodes left AEW earlier this year and he returned to WWE after six long years. He then defeated Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 38 and since then, has been booked as a huge deal. In fact, Cody Rhodes made a very bold claim recently about where he stacks up in the greater pro wrestling landscape.

Rhodes squared off against Seth Rollins again at WrestleMania Backlash in yet another solid wrestling match. The American Nightmare was the victor on that occasion as well.

While speaking with Sports Illustrated, Cody Rhodes stated that he thinks he is the best wrestler in the world by a large margin. Rhodes added that he didn’t mean it to draw heat from anyone.

“I think I’m the best wrestler in the world. And I think it’s by a large margin. That upsets a lot of people, but I don’t mean it to draw ire. This is all I do. I’m not in charge. I’m here to hone my craft, build my body, and win matches. Every week, I have to be better. That’s the ultimate clarity for me.”
