MJF is one of the top draws in All Elite Wresting. Maxwell has been with the promotion since its inception, but that doesn’t mean he won’t jump ship if the price is right.
It was previously reported that MJF is unhappy with his contract status in AEW. The current situation is that MJF is leaning towards leaving AEW after his contract expires in 2024.
Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast came up with another update on MJF’s contract frustrations with AEW. Zarian stated that WWE is very much interesting in having him on board.
“Its more about MJF trying to get the highest value from his new deal as possible. However there is a lot of interest in him from WWE and the network partners, I don’t know how much of a reality it is for him to leave AEW.
“In December a network executive was sold on MJF when I reached out to WWE. They told me they would def be interested once his deal is over. A lot of this comes down to if AEW can lock in a much better TV rights deal. 48 million vs 140 million is a big difference.”
The wrestling world will be watching when MJF’s contract expires in 2024. Even Paul Heyman believes MJF going public about wanting to switch sides is smart move. Of course, people like Sammy Guevara have already spoken out about how he doesn’t want Max to leave. Do you want to see MJF in WWE?
