All Elite Wrestling has quite a bloated roster at the moment and Tony Khan has been criticized for under-using good chunk of great talent on TV. In a recent interview, Khan discussed his big roster and the challenges he faces managing it.

During an appearance on “Swerve City Podcast” this week, Khan opened up about the challenges he faces to manage such a huge roster. Despite that he was bit relieved that he has AEW Dark and AEW elevation at disposal.

“I think a big thing is right now we have so many great stars and there’s only three hours of TV time in AEW. So it’s a challenge, but I think we use other great outlets at our disposal like AEW Dark and AEW Elevation which are great shows,” Khan said.

With that being said, Khan doesn’t want fans to undermine AEW Dark. Khan spoke about how some of the popular roster stars got their start from Dark. He again emphasized on how hard it is to put “so many great stars” on three hours of TV.

“We’ve seen a lot of great wrestlers come to TV and they started on AEW Dark and they weren’t in prominent winning positions. We’ve seen people like Max Caster, Will Hobbs and actually Max Caster and Anthony Bowens worked separately on Dark and then ended up coming together as a team and a number of other people as well. It’s helped us enhance our women’s division. I think a lot of really quality people started wrestling there and got a lot of good reps in, and now they’ve become really solid TV wrestlers for us.”

Khan added, “So AEW Dark and Elevation have given us an outlet to grow. But really with three hours of TV and so many great stars on this roster, it is a challenge.”

Not to mention that Khan has been previously criticized for putting Max Caster too often on AEW TV. Hopefully, Khan comes up with an efficient way to put other wrestlers on TV as well.
