Malakai Black Wants To Push The Threshold Of Fear With His AEW Gimmick

Malakai Black was released by WWE last year and it shocked the world. He eventually made his way to AEW, where he first feuded with Cody Rhodes. Black also has an interesting idea for his current character in Tony Khan’s company.

Black eventually introduced The House Of Black alongside Brody King and Buddy Matthews. The faction has become one of the highlights of AEW television lately.

While speaking on Dead Meat, Malakai Black talked about his character. Black explained why wants to push the threshold of fear in his gimmick.

“Fear is a very addictive thing because I think we like being scared, I think we like trying things out and see if we can, you know, push that threshold continuously. And I think horror movies and then perhaps much more simpler setting… they do exactly that they allow us to, like, well, am I gonna get real scared by this movie? Like when you go into a horror movie you sit down with this idea of like ‘oh boy, what’s gonna happen?’ It’s almost like you’re getting on this roller coaster.”

The House Of Black is currently feuding with Death Triangle on AEW television. We’ll have to see how their feud will be booked in the coming weeks.
