WWE Releases Dakota Kai From NXT Contract

WWE is hacking away at their roster once again and this time NXT is getting some tough cuts. Now Dakota Kai will be a free agent in 30 days.

According to Sean Sapp, Dakota Kai had been released from her WWE NXT contract. Sadly, her last stint in NXT 2.0 was not enough to keep her around.

Fightful has learned Dakota Kai has been released by WWE.

WWE gave Kai a long look at a main roster call-up not too long ago, but it never transpired. She went back to NXT 2.0 instead and revamped her character a bit. Now her time with NXT is done, but her career in pro wrestling isn’t over by a long shot.

Naturally, everyone will crow that Kai needs to go to AEW, and that might be the case. We’ll just have to see what’s next for her at this point.
