WWE NXT’s Harland was released today. The company letting him go might have come as a shock to many because of the hype they put behind him. A new report sheds some light on the promotion’s recent decision.

According toFightful, Harland’s time in the company was cut short because the officials felt that he would not progress in the ring in terms of what they want.

Harland had signed with WWE after much hype, but coaches and officials told us they felt like he’d not progressed in the ring quite enough for their liking.

Harland was dubbed as Brock Lesnar look-alike and WWE officials fans actually wanted to see more from him. He was paired with Joe Gacy but disappeared when Gacy’s program with Breakker started for the NXT Title. Now he has disappeared from the entire brand itself.

Harland signed with WWE in early 2021 with much anticipation. He played as an offensive guard at the University of Central Florida. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see much of him like fans wanted.
