Randy Orton is a 20-year veteran, who has done just about anything one would want to in WWE. Orton has a vast knowledge of all things pro wrestling and loves to help out the younger generation of stars. Matt Riddle also has a high opinion of Randy Orton.
Randy Orton and Matt Riddle have been teaming up for a long time now. They are currently the RAW Tag Team Champions and have certainly become one of the highlights of WWE television.
While speaking on this week’s The Bump, Matt Riddle talked about Randy Orton vs. Mick Foley at Backlash 2004. He gave huge props to Orton for the match and stated that after watching that match, Riddle realized Orton can do it all as a WWE Superstar.
“For me, the one match that stands out in particular and I think it was the match in which he really did a lot. The match that really solidified him for me was the match against Mick Foley. That No-Holds-Barred match where he went for the RKO, got pushed on the tacks, got thrown off the stage and everything and still overcame the odds and still won the match. I think that was the big one for me where I was like, ‘This guy could do it all. He’s not just the son of another wrestler, this guy gets it.'”
Randy Orton also doesn’t care about beating Ric Flair and John Cena’s record of World Titles either. Orton is more than happy working with Riddle right now and that is what matters to him.
