Randy Orton has cemented himself as a legend of the business and there’s no taking away from that. Orton has been wrestling for the past 22 years and it is safe to say that he isn’t showing any signs of slowing down.

Orton’s ascent to superstardom began on April 18, 2004. The future legend killer put his Intercontinental title on the line against Mick Foley’s alter ego Cactus Jack. The two went through hell in a bloody and barbaric hardcore match.

Foley took to social media exactly 18 years after the match to remember the night that made Orton a star. Mrs. Foley’s Baby Boy put over Orton huge for his tremendous work ethic.

I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again—THIS was the best match of my career. I can’t emphasize enough how proud I was of this match and how much respect I have for Randy Orton as a worker and as a person. Backlash 2004 was truly a night to remember.

Orton is currently 1/2 of the WWE RAW Tag Tag Team Champions with Riddle. RK-Bro will put their title on the line in a winners take all unification match against the Uso’s at WrestleMania Backlash.
