Kushida entered WWE with a lot expectations as the former NJPW star was set to make big waves. Now it appears that his time in WWE is over.

We last saw Kushida as a part of Jacket Time, but that team is apparently done. They failed to reach the top of NXT and now Kushida seems to be out of the company all together.

WWE.com moved Kushida over to the alumni section of the website. Fightful Select later reported that Kushida has left the company and his deal expired.

Early indications that Fightful was given was that his deal expired, though we haven’t been given any idea as to whether or not a new one was offered. At least one person in the company was of the belief it was a “budget cut release.” We’ll work to find out more details.

Kushida is a former Cruiserweight Champion in WWE, but some would say his momentum was stunted by injuries and lackluster booking. We’ll have to see where we see Kushida again, because he is still an exceptional talent.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
