Terry Funk is one of wrestling’s true living legends. The Funker was promoted as “middle-aged and crazy” twenty-five years ago. Today, Funk is living in a personal care home where he has been dealing with memory loss and other health issues.

One of the best friends Terry Funk has in the wrestling business is Mick Foley. Mick always tries to make time to visit Funk when he’s on the road. The two caught up recently for a lunch date near Terry’s hometown of Amarillo, Texas.

Terry put up his classic fighting pose as Foley made a mean face in a photo posted to Twitter this afternoon. Foley happened to be in the Lonestar State. The WWE legend decided to stop and see his old friend.

“LOOK WHO I RAN INTO!

I made a little side trip to Amarillo to take the legendary Terry Funk to lunch.

Still my mentor, still my idol after all these years. ⁦@TheDirtyFunker”

It was near perfect timing for a visit. Yesterday marked the 25th anniversary of ECW’s very first pay-per-view, Barely Legal. Terry Funk memorably won the ECW World Championship from Raven in the main event. Despite all that is going on in his life, Terry Funk will always have a true friend in Mick Foley.
