Rick Boogs put out an energetic performance at WrestleMania 38 as he competed alongside Shinsuke Nakamura. The duo wrestled against SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos, but ended up losing to them. Boogs was also injured in the process.

Boogs incurred serious injury at the event. The injury came when he attempted to lift both of the Uso’s on his shoulders. The star barely made it to Shinsuke Nakamura before making the tag. Boogs was seen getting the injury on camera, which led to him being showered with the concern of fans.

WWE was the first to confirm that Boogs had torn his quadricep patella. The star would also require surgery, which means that his return inside the ring could take a while.

Boogs took to Instagram in order to reveal how he’s been feeling amid getting injured and the news of his imminent surgery. He contrasted the news of his tendon being ripped by his quads by being grateful about experiencing his first WrestleMania alongside his wife.

From the highest of highs to lowest of lows. Having my beautiful wife with me to experience my first Wrestlemania. Getting the incredible opportunity to open the show! Being able to demonstrate brute strength in front of millions of viewers! Unfortunately, the doctor told me my quad was too strong for the tendon and it was flexing so hard, it ripped the tendon totally off the bone. I’m still incredibly grateful for the experience and for all the love and support. History proves I will come back bigger, better, and stronger. IT’S A MINDSET

Boogs ended the post by saying that he has always “come back bigger, better, and stronger.” We hope that the WWE star comes back much stronger than he is, though not so strong that his quads end up ripping his tendon once again.
