Ahead of the match, Dominik entered the ring in a gear that paid tribute to the late grate Eddie Guerrero. The American flag-inspired gear had the alphabets “D” and “M” written on the front of it.

Wrestling fans on the internet took to Twitter to share their reaction to Dominik paying tribute to Eddie with the matching gear. Of course, many couldn’t help but bring the infamous storyline between Eddie and Rey from 2005.

Eddie Guerrero was like family to the Mysterios. The children, especially Dominik, grew up watching their father and uncle Eddie tear the house down in wrestling promotions around the world.

WWE even added Dominik to the heated feud between Eddie and Rey. According to the storyline, Eddie claimed he and not Rey was Dominik’s father. This resulted in a ladder match between the two for the custody of Dominik.
