Edge is one of the most decorated performers on WWE and there’s no denying that. The Rated R Superstar returned to WWE TV after a nine-year hiatus from active in-ring competition.

The former WWE champion is set to take on AJ Styles on Saturday at the show of shows. Fightful Select reports that WWE is preparing Edge to get his own stable going forward.

Edge is set to take on AJ Styles in a WrestleMania dream match, and Fightful Select has heard of a major pitch involving the “Rated R Superstar.” With Edge turning heel for the first time in ages, WWE is looking to add more to his presentation.

We’re told there has been a particular pitch that has been talked about heavily from the creative side of things that would see Edge get a new stable. There have been several notable names that have been discussed for the group, including former WWE United States Champion Damian Priest.

It was originally thought that Priest would be on the WrestleMania card against Finn Balor in a championship rubber match, but instead they’re both in the WrestleMania Smackdown Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. We’re told that unless plans change for the heel faction, that could begin to happen imminently.

WWE have already changed Edge’s theme to match his current heel persona. The WWE Hall of Famer hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down ever since he made his triumphant return at the 2020 Royal Rumble.
