Charlotte Flair is one of the best female wrestlers in the world and there’s no arguing that. The Queen brings out the best in her opponents and that is one of the reasons WWE places so much faith in her.

The SmackDown Women’s Champion recently sat down with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport to promote WrestleMania 38. Charlotte talked about no longer having her fiancé Andrade El Idolo and father Ric Flair by her side on the road.

The mention of her boyfriend and father caused the multi-time women’s champion to tear up during the interview. She took a little pause before regaining her composure. She said she met Andrade on the road and would do anything to relive that time.

“A little difficult at first because my two best friends are gone, but now I’m just like used to it. Oh, you’re gonna make me upset (tears up). It sucked because they’re my people. They would do anything for me, good or bad.

“Manny (Andrade) had to make clear decisions and seeing him do so well is so important, and my dad comes and goes, comes and goes… that wasn’t as hard. It’s hard to see the couples in the back, you know, get to have that time together…

“… And would do anything to have that one because that’s how we met on the road, but him being happy, to me, is like what’s important and he knows how much this means to me. It’s just making the schedules work and we’ll do anything to make it work.

“It’s just that I don’t have that ride or die from town to town but for Manny I’ll do anything… you know (the situation) with Becky. I’m only emotional because it’s WrestleMania week (laughs), but he’s coming with me to the Hall of Fame.”

Charlotte is set to defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey tomorrow (Saturday) at WrestleMania 38. The match will main event WrestleMania’s night one.
