Bret Hart has been one of the biggest WWE superstars. While he retired from pro-wrestling a long time ago, it seems that there was reason to believe for some fans that Bret Hart could be heading to AEW. While it is an entertaining notion, everyone on social media is too quick to react without validating the news source.
The WWE Hall of Famer himself did not know about the rumors that had been going on, which is highly ironic. The ongoing speculation suggested that the superstar would join AEW as the manager of FTR. Tully Blanchard was fired, and Bret Hart made sense as a potential replacement.
Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler are also fans of the WWE legend. The two have become friends with him as well, as he appreciates their tag team wrestling style that is close to how it was done traditionally. Wheeler even fought a fan previously who had hit Bret Hart a few years ago.
Hart was present during a virtual signing from Signed By Superstars. When he was asked about whether he’s about to join AEW or not, his response was to reply back with a question: “Go there and do what?”
It is entirely possible that he is trying to keep the expectation of the fans on a low before he finally becomes All Elite. The Hitman has been with AEW for an appearance, when he revealed that World Heavyweight Title at the 2019 Double Or Nothing. He even seems to be in great shape, which might mean he’s just about ready for his potential AEW arrival.
