AEW has a roster full of talent and they are about to add a female. I could be one with championship caliber. Deonna Purrazzo hasn’t arrived in AEW yet, but it appears that could change.

Tony Khan previously revealed that AEW will introduce a new female star during Rampage this week. It turns out that it could very well be the Virtuosa.

Purrazzo is slated for a Champ-Champ Challenge where she will defend the AAA Reina de Reina or ROH Title against a mystery opponent. That will take place at the Impact Wrestling multiverse event on Friday. Tony Khan wasn’t aware of the booking conflict when he bought ROH.

Tony Khan opened up about Purrazzo during that radio interview where he obviously sees big things.

“When Deonna won the Ring of Honor title, when they booked that match, I did not have an agreement in place to buy Ring of Honor yet and was not booking the matches. With them having a show the night of our pay-per-view, I don’t know how it’s going to work out. Scott [D’Amore] and I are still talking about that because I completely respect their position that they have an event that night too.”

Khan would love to have Purrazzo defend the title at ROH Supercard of Honor. It appears that she will be around AEW as well. Only time will tell what kind of matchups she gets involved in as time goes on.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
