WWE has a long list of legends that they can call on when they need them. Now they have added one more super addition to that roster.

Hurricane Helms is officially a WWE Legend. The WWE star announced on social media platform that he signed a Legends Deal with the company. He currently works as a backstage producer with the promotion.

Shane Helms has worked as a wrestler with several promotions in the past before debuting on SmackDown in 2021. His contributions to the wrestling world certainly did not go unnoticed. Helms hopped on to Twitter to announce his new contract and said that makes him “officially old.”

I signed a WWE Legends deal so I guess that makes it official… I’m old.

After his WWE release in 2010, Helms returned as a surprise entrant in the 2018 and 2021 Royal Rumble matches. That seemed to be the last of his in-ring presence with Vince McMahon’s company.

As a WWE producer, Helms recently produced the match between The Mysterios (Rey & Dominik Mysterio) against the Dirty Dawgs (Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode) on WWE Raw.

We’ll have to see if Hurricane Helms makes a comeback, but you can never say never in WWE.
