Tony Khan bought ROH, but that won’t stop the company from producing big cards. Now a dream match is officially on the books.

The new owner of Ring of Honor, Tony Khan, confirmed on Twitter that the Briscoes are set to defend their ROH World Tag Team Championships against the current AAA World Tag Team Champions at ROH Supercard of Honor on April 1st.

This will be the first time The Briscoes and FTR have ever faced each other. The two teams have been taking shots at each other on social media for months. The tweet confirming the Supercard came out earlier this afternoon and read as follows.

The Briscoes won the ROH Tag Team titles from Matt Taven & Mike Bennett at Final Battle. This marks their 12th reign as ROH Tag Team Champions.

Tony Khan was blocked from booking the Briscoes to AEW when the report emerged of Jay Briscoe’s homophobia. Jay has since apologized for his homophobic remarks, but that is yet to change the minds of those at WarnerMedia. However, now that TK owns another promotion, he was freely able to book the tag team match under ROH.

This will be the first ROH event since Tony Khan purchased the promotion held at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas. Check out TK’s tweet below.

As stated by Tony Khan, Ring of Honor Supercard of Honor will take place on April 1 from the Curtis Culwell Center in the Dallas, Texas, Metroplex area. The show will be available on FITE TV and regular PPV.
