Matt Hardy is no stranger to the world of professional wrestling. The 1/2 of the Hardy Boyz has wrestled in promotions such as WWE, Ring of Honor (ROH) and Impact Wrestling. He is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
According to Fightful Select, 47-year-old Matt will be staying with the Jacksonville-based promotion for a while as the company recently added an extension to his contract.
“A couple of years after joining AEW, Matt Hardy has seen his deal with the company be extended. We’re told that the deal was recently added on to, and that his deal is now matched up with his brother Jeff’s AEW contract.
“We’ve been told by numerous talent within AEW that Matt has been helpful during his two years with the company. Hardy would confirm the news on Twitch as we published the report.”
“I’ve extended my contract with AEW, I’m going to be there a little bit longer. They matched myself and Jeff up, which was very cool. We can still do outside appearances.”
This past episode of Wednesday Night Dynamite saw the reunion of the Hardy Boyz. Matt, Darby Allen and Sting were on the receiving hand of a beatdown at the hands of Andrade, the Private Party, Butcher, and Blade when Jeff showed up to save them. Watch his debut right here.
