Cody Rhodes left AEW last month and speculation about the wrestler’s future hasn’t stopped since. Several outlets and sources have been coming out with conflicting reports as well. It seems that the ball is in his court now.
Recently, Dave Meltzer wrote on F4w Board that negotiations regarding Cody hit a stumbling block. This suggests that Cody was indeed in talks with WWE amidst the rumors. He also has other options.
Meltzer further reported that Cody has multiple offers but has yet to decide on which one he should act upon. It is also said that WWE needs his answer from him as soon as possible for “apparent” reasons.
Meltzer’s full report states:
“Negotiations hit a snag. He has multiple offers. He has to make a decision. WWE wants the decision made soon for obvious reasons. The ball is in his court.”
Not to mention Cody has been mentioned on and off on internal WWE WrestleMania documents. And taking the recent report into account, it is safe to say that WWE is eagerly waiting for Cody’s answer and so are fans.
