AJ Styles has been touted as one of the best pro wrestlers by both fans and wrestlers alike. He has competed in numerous promotions all over the world, including the likes of TNA, NJPW and now WWE. It seems WWE rushed to renew him for a good reason.

As reported earlier, AJ Styles recently signed new contract with WWE, where he will be making $3 million a year. This is because WWE sees a lot of value in AJ Styles and wanted to ensure he sticks with the company for a long time.

According to Fightful Select, more details regarding AJ Styles’ new contract were revealed. WWE expected Styles to have plenty of suitors once his contract expired, which is why the company rushed to extend his contract even before Styles made contact with other promotions.

“WWE expected Styles to have plenty of suitors, and we’re told that as in the case with some other big names in the company, wanted to get Styles’ deal extended before he could even hit free agency to talk to anyone else. Styles is said to be very happy in the company, and has mentioned numerous times that he’d like to work for WWE after his wrestling career.”

AJ Styles will also earn as much as Goldberg thanks to his new WWE deal. AEW also made no play to get AJ Styles either.  We will have to see how WWE will book his feud with Edge as we near WrestleMania 38.
