Vader is deserving of membership in almost any professional wrestling hall of fame. The man from the Rocky Mountains redefined what a big man could be in the sport. Vader was a top monster heel to a generation of fans who grew up watching him in WCW and NJPW. Now, WWE is finally honoring his amazing legacy.

It was announced this morning that Vader would be joining The Undertaker in the 2022 class of the WWE Hall of Fame. Fans immediately expressed their excitement on social media. Vader began trending with over 12,000 tweets in the aftermath of the news. Many believed it was long past due.

“Reminder that Vader practically begged for a HOF induction when he found out he had a short amount of time left to live, and WWE waited to do it until after he died.”

“vader should have gotten inducted into the hof immediately after he popped his eye back into its socket”

“LRT: although who goes into the WWE Hall of Fame is based solely on Vince trying to sell things—there’s no vote—a lot of wrestlers still want that accolade. Vader was one such person in his final years and WWE kept refusing since they never used him right. NOW they do it? Whatevs”

“Probably my favorite big man of all time, a bit too late. Vader would’ve loved to been there”

Vader was one of the most impressive athletes to ever set foot in the squared circle. To this day he remains a major influence on the industry. There is nobody more deserving than Vader.
