Samoa Joe is one of the best wrestlers to ever step foot inside the squared circle. Joe is a veteran of the business and has rightfully earned the respect of fans and peers alike.

Joe worked two separate stints in the WWE. His first stint saw him wrestle on NXT and on the main roster. Joe returned to NXT for the second time and won the brand’s top title, only to relinquish it afterwards.

Malcolm Bivens, who worked alongside Joe on multiple occasions in NXT, spoke about the former NXT Champion’s influence on him and how Joe helped him when Bivens was starting on the yellow brand.

“Samoa Joe, that was one guy where, when he first showed up in NXT, he would pull me aside and give me feedback after feedback. Little things, that I never thought of. Just the way I looked or how I said one word or putting emphasis on something.

“That was Joe. It’s one of those things when someone like Joe or Shawn or Regal gives you feedback, it’s for a reason and it’s priceless knowledge. It’s been incredibly helpful and great.”

Joe’s valuable feedback has stuck with Bivens to this day. The wrestler-turned-manager currently serves as the mouthpiece for Diamond Mine. He recently took the stable to glory as The Creed Brothers won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
