WWE decided to gut NXT and it seems as though they were targeting Triple H’s people. Now we have another release to report, and it shouldn’t come as a huge surprise given the current trend.

Sean Sapp reports that Samoa Joe was released from his WWE contract. He was last seen on NXT television as NXT Champion, but he was forced to relinquish his title. Then NXT 2.0 started and he wasn’t seen after that.

Samoa Joe has been released by WWE, Fightful has confirmed with the company.

Joe joins other Triple H picks like Road Dogg, Scott Armstrong, Dave Kapoor, William Regal, and more. We will have to see who WWE decides to release next. Shawn Michaels’ name was trending today for reason.

As Ringside News exclusively reported, these releases were actually a personal shot at Triple H. These firings were intentional and they have now sent a message that Triple H’s influence in NXT is over.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
