Cesaro was one of the most criminally underrated WWE Superstars in the history of the company. The Swiss Superman had shown on numerous occasions why he was one of the best in-ring performers in the company. It seems Samoa Joe commented on his WWE departure as well.

As reported earlier, Cesaro quietly departed from WWE after letting his contract expire and not re-signing with the company. This came as a shock for many as Cesaro spent almost 10 years with WWE.

Cesaro’s exit from the company was more of a WWE decision as the company did not offer him the kind of money that they had offered Kevin Owens and AJ Styles to stay with them.

While speaking on the Busted Open podcast, Samoa Joe revealed that he was not surprised by Cesaro leaving WWE. The Samoan Submission Machine added that Cesaro will have no trouble finding work elsewhere.

“No, I’m not surprised Cesaro left. Obviously, Cesaro is a unbelievably skilled athelte. I think Cesaro has toed the line above and beyond during his tenure in WWE and I think he’s been one of the most consistent performers year after year, and a dependable guy. I think, you talk about the world as an oyster, I genuinely believe that is very much the case with Cesaro. There will be numerous opportunities for him, tons of interest, and there should be. This guy is still in his prime, still ready to rock and roll, and very health, very, very focused. He probably has a renewed focus in life now, so I’m looking forward to seeing what happens with Cesaro in the future.”

Cesaro has also not received an offer from AEW as of yet. Vince McMahon was also never on board in pushing Cesaro as top talent. It remains to be seen where Cesaro will end up next.
