Edge is back and on the road to WrestleMania once again. As Ringside News exclusively reported, WWE has an opponent for Edge locked in place, and fans might see that big reveal next week.
Earlier today, WWE announced a segment involving Hall of Famer Edge for Monday Night Raw. We’ll have to see what happens.
The Rated R Superstar made an appearance on last week’s Raw for the first time since Royal Rumble to cut a promo on his plans for WrestleMania 38. Edge dropped multiple references that included Cody Rhodes, Damian Priest, Finn Balor, and AJ Styles. In fact, it has been rumored that Edge will be facing Styles at WrestleMania 38, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
To provide an update on the situation, WWE has announced that Edge will be addressing the WWE Universe to discuss his WrestleMania plans on next week’s RAW.
The announcement said, “Edge is searching for his next WrestleMania moment. The Rated-R Superstar returned to the Red Brand this past Monday to remind the WWE Universe about his epic history on The Grandest Stage of Them All and that the most stupendous two-night WrestleMania in history cannot be named as such without the WWE Hall of Famer on its match card. The 11-time WWE Champion sat in the middle of the ring and threw down the gauntlet to the entire locker room, looking for someone to step up and prove themselves. Will someone rise to the occasion and accept Edge’s challenge at The Showcase of the Immortals? Tune in to Monday Night Raw at 8/7 C on USA to find out as Edge once again takes to the squared circle to see if any Superstar is man enough to step to The Rated-R Superstar.”
Last year, the 48 year-old Superstar main-evented WrestleMania 37 in a triple threat match against Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship.
