Dolph Ziggler is the latest WWE main roster superstar to invade NXT. Ziggler has been feuding with Tommaso Ciampa and Bron Breakker. Dolph is gunning for Bron’s NXT Championship.

AJ Styles also recently had an NXT crossover. Styles feuded with Grayson Waller. AJ even showed up on NXT for the blowoff.

The WWE Universe might want to get used to storylines where Raw crosses over with NXT. On a recent Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that the plan since the launch of NXT 2.0 has been to do more crossover angles with the red brand.

Ziggler is expected to stick around until at least NXT Stand and Deliver on WrestleMania weekend. Once that storyline wraps up, another is expected. There is no word on which Raw superstar will get the next NXT run.

WWE has been trying to bump up the viewership of NXT. The show has dropped significantly compared to its black and gold counterpart. The company is hoping big-name stars from Raw will draw eyeballs to the developmental show.

It also never hurts for young talent to get a rub from established wrestlers. Many of the newest NXT stars don’t have a lot of wrestling experience and have only been working in front of the Orlando crowd. The crossover angles serve the purpose of not only bumping viewership but providing valuable experience to the future stars of WWE.
