Bianca Belair earned a shot to get revenge against Becky Lynch at the recent WWE Elimination Chamber event. Belair was embarrassed by Big Time Becks at SummerSlam when Lynch won the SmackDown women’s title in mere seconds. Fans were very disappointed in Bianca’s title run.

WWE now has a chance to run that failure back. The rest of the women in the Elimination Chamber match seem to be lacking direction. A match on Raw saw Rhea Ripley easily defeat former tag partner Nikki A.S.H.

Dave Meltzer discussed the reason for the oddly-placed match on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio. The piecemeal booking didn’t make any sense. It seems like they just threw Nikki out there. The two have a history, but WWE did Nikki no favors with the way she was featured.

“I don’t know what they’re doing. It wasn’t obvious from watching it. They had nobody else for her to beat and they were going to do it one more time.

At this point now, I can’t see them doing it again, but… Next Monday they may come up and just go, ‘Eh, we want Rhea Ripley to get a win, who do we got?’”

A strong undercard would go a long way towards improving the women’s division. There is a ton of talent being underutilized. If WWE puts some additional focus on feuds outside of the main event, there might not be such random matches that don’t advance anything.
